While mostly house prices in Spain are stable to lower, some areas have actually seen rising real estate prices according to the country's National Institute of Statistics. Madrid has risen by 0.9% in the 3Q of 1010 compared to a year before. Commercial real estate was also vibrant in the same region. Mallorca has reported increased sales of resale and new properties. Andalucia has been lagging behind but it was shown that sellers are now asking for realistic prices and buyers are coming back into the market in selected areas.

G.I.T.S finally rounded up the year with a great golf day at Los Arqueros, followed by our prize giving dinner with a plethora of prizes for all.
Fran Whelan won the day with a very respectable 37 points off his G.I.T.S handicap of 8, winning him the G.I.T.S logo'd golf bag. Dave Dalton took the 2nd prize of 2 green fees and a buggy at Los Arqueros (Dave was less than impressed with this being an Los Arqueros Golf member. Our hotly contested "Race to Montecastillo" (this being the best three scores from a maximum of 8 rounds) was finally won by Dave Dalton.
