An interesting bit of news from Spain today: the goverment income has fallen by 130 million euros this trimester due to a 25% decrease in the sale of cigarettes. In a country like Spain, famous for its dedicated smokers, this is an impressive effect of the recent law that prohibits smoking in public places. In addition, the increase in tax has not helped.
