According to new data from the Spanish National Statistics Office, the Spanish property market has made a positive start to 2011.

The latest numbers show that the real estate market has now expanded 27% since February 2009. Sales of property, excluding social housing, are up an average of 9.9% from February 2010 to February 2011.

Although compared to the better periods of 2007 transaction volumes are down 42%, there seems to be a growing sense of optimism in the market.
