Los Arqueros Golf & Country ClubLocated just minutes from Marbella, the world famous Puerto Banus and the traditional Spanish town of San Pedro de Alcantara and set amongst the foothills of Sierra de Ronda, Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club offers a combination of spectacular surrounding scenery, open spaces and exceptional views over the Mediterranean sea.
Los Arqueros is more than an urbanization, made up of a collection of individual “villages” each with their own unique style. Apartments, town houses, villas are spread around the sleek green fairways of the Sevi Ballesteros-designed 18-hole course. High quality prevails in each of the Taylor Wimpey-built properties. High-spec kitchens, sizeable terraces, gardens and pools are just some of the benefits within each. Whatever your taste or requirement, your needs will be met with attention to detail afforded at every opportunity.
Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club, as its name suggests, provides more than a challenging course with stunning surrounds. Other great facilities, such as the tennis, paddle & squash courts, gym, driving range, Pro shop, restaurant / bar and stunning members lounge are all on site. In addition the Los Arqueros Shopping Village is in construction with grocery stores and many other shops, cafes and bars planned.
San Pedro de AlcantaraLos Arqueros Golf & Country Club and our resale properties are only a 5 Minutes drive from San Pedro de Alcantara, just 8 minutes drive west from all the glitz and glamour of Marbella, Puerto Banus and yet just a few minutes drive away from the natural beauty of the Sierra de Ronda mountain range - today San Pedro is a refreshingly unspoilt pueblo with an appeal all of its own.
Be sure to head for the central plaza here with its gracious parish church and surrounding narrow streets which are packed with intriguing small shops, sidewalk cafes and bars. Thursday is street market day with all the associated hustle and bustle; a veritable bargain shopper's paradise.
A pleasant walk is from the centre of town to the beachfront along the Avenida del Marques del Duero which is a particularly attractive wide avenue flanked by palm trees. And the modern wide promenade is ideal for continuing your stroll with several excellent chiringuitos (beachside restaurants) specialising in fish dishes. Visit Bora Bora if only for a drink at the bar. It is one of the best beach clubs on the coast, with a superb restaurant and all the usual beach facilities, a tropical paradise.
San Pedro also has the last summer fair (feria) in Andalucia being in the second week in October.
History buffs will enjoy the Paleochristian Balisilica Church by the sea and the third century Roman Baths, Las Bovedas. Check at the local tourist office for times.
The Paleochristian Balisilica Church and Necropolis is located in the woods next to the Bora Bora Beach Club that is on the sea front directly in front of the town. A little further west along the beach to Guadalmina is located the restored remains of the Roman Baths. If driving, leave San Pedro westward towards Estepona and stop at the tourist office in the arch for the keys.
